EXHIBITION: Autosport International 2008

So much to still catch up on - the 2007 review, the Mosler Challenge 2008 - but here's a quickie from todays Autosport International show. And what a great show it was - fantastic variety of stuff from Astons to socket sets, superb range of display cars (loved the F1 line-up, found the Colin McRae collection fascinating), a stunning live action show (ahh, Louise Goodman... ) and what really made my day wasn't the Lycra-clingy mingers scratching all the bonnets.

Today's top three;

3) The pork scratchings from The Crusty Pie Company. One day, all exhibitions will have quality food like this.

2) Jenson Button admitting during his Autosport interview that the lack of traction control in F1 this year may prove 'hard to handle'...

1) This Jaguar C type. It has that curvy curve. You know, the one that goes from the ribcage into the waist then over the hips. O.M.G.

Of course, duty called and your intrepid reporter had his Mosler radar turned on and fully functioning. The ex-Eclipse car was on the Britcar stand, advertising itself and a motorhome for sale or rent:

And Breckland Technology had this beauty parked up in the PistonHeads section:

With it being purple, my nearest and dearest loves it too. Based on the fact that she loved her purple Micra. It's a bit of a step-up, but I can try and convince her to buy one... but it'll never fit in the garage.

A great day - I can thoroughly recommend it, my Dad and I really enjoyed it. And we went by train, so we reduced the overall carbon footprint produced by the show..... though given what the drag cars burned off, I think we offset a only very, very small piece of flaky black toe cheese.

So, it's January. It's cold, wet... reminds me of BTCC at Donington. But it's soon new seasons all round - so BRING IT ON!!!
